What is the nature of fear and why do we love being scared? The horror genre is an extremely delicate thing. What works, what doesn’t. Women have a particular skill telling stories of the dark side. Join us October 12th for an evening with horror hostess Isabella Price as we navigate the underworld of horror tales. Come on. What are you afraid of?

Isabella L. Price is a filmmaker, writer, podcaster, host, performer, and YouTuber from the PNW. She has worked on CUT’s 100 Years of Beauty series, produced a burlesque horror film live show called Nocturnal Emissions, and directed a virtual national run of Mae West’s play SEX in 2020. Currently she works with Langston Seattle as their Film Programs Manager, curating the Fade to Black series focused on Black filmmakers and the Black image in media, and coordinating the Seattle Black Film Festival.

Actress, writer, director, Gigi Saul Guerrero was born and raised in Mexico City. Known as La Muñeca Del Terror in Latin America, she’s a Mexican genre filmmaker now living in Vancouver Canada, described by Variety and Lattitude Latinxt as part of the new wave of Latino talent. She has been praised as one of the top, emerging directors in the horror genre by Empire, Dread Central, Fangoria, and Bloody Disgusting. Gigi is also a current Directing Instructor at Vancouver Film School. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4464117/

Vanessa Williams has two feet firmly planted in the open-grave of horror. Editing films for 15 years, she has found herself cutting all manner of horror, including shorts, features, web series, and most recently, a series of horror video game trailers. In addition, she has written and directed multiple horror short films. Currently she is a co-host on Strange Aeons Radio, a film podcast where there are weekly deep-dives into a variety of horror subgenres.

Amanda Jones is producer of The Stairs, a Horror/Sci-fi film shot locally that deals with a young boy who stumbles on a mysterious staircase deep in the forest while out hunting with his grandfather.
