The Second Tuesday (TST) event in on March 14 is a partnership with Post Alley Film Festival. This gathering will focus on filmmaking as activism, with two screenings of short films that center on social justice and a chance to learn more about the upcoming PAFF.

Women In Film will screen the short film Muted and host a group discussion re: film as a consciousness-raising vehicle and call to action. It's our foray into our look at film as activism. Muted has earned critical acclaim, landing HBO's Short Film Award at the American Black Film Festival and stars multi-Emmy nominated Chandra Wilson (you'll recognize this amazing actor when you see her) and Malcolm Jamal Warner, (of The Cosby Show, all grown up).

Muted paints a picture of the harsh reality of a family on a quest to find a missing daughter.

The women behind the film: writer and actress Brandi Ford, director Rachel Goldberg and producer Tara Tomicevic work to bring aid and advice to families of missing loved ones.

March's TST is a sneak peak of Goldberg's film which will screen in the Family Affairs section at WIF's all-day Post Alley Film Festival March 25, 2017 at SIFF Film Center 11am-7:30pm.
